Thanks to video games like Among Us, we now get to live out those Machiavellian tactics on-demand without many negative consequences. Suffice to say, Among Us is all the rage right now though it can get rather stressful.

The twist is that in The Thing, the "impostor" is a shapeshifting alien creature that can even copy the speech and memories of a person.
There's also no voting out as the whole setting takes place in Antarctica in their research base. As such, the creature ends up taking the majority of the crew until the only one left is able to show why Kurt Russel was chosen as the lead actor for the film by being badass.
7 BASTARD (2015)
Bastard is a unique kind of "whodunit" horror as far as those go. It revolves around some unlikely characters such as a serial killer couple, a suicidal policeman, and a couple of hitch-hikers. 5 I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (1998)
For a movie about threatening someone over what they did, the I Know What You Did Last Summer got stretched quite heftily. Its sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer takes the whole slasher aspect of the movie and adds in a dash of mystery as the supposed "slasher" is still alive, apparently.
Even knowing this, the protagonist still went on a vacation to a secluded island with her friends. Of course, the killer's identity doesn't get revealed until near the end; the manner of the discovery was ridiculous, as expected of many slasher sequels.
4 IDENTITY (2003)
If being trapped in an enclosed space with nine other strangers where a serial killer might be among them is what made you like Among Us then Identity ought to fuel that craving for murder mysteries even more. It's more of a thriller or suspense than outright horror but Identity's clever use of circumstance and small group politics ought to keep the viewers interested.
The premise is the same but the setting is tweaked a little. Cherry Falls expands the "whodunit" locale by making it a whole small countryside town where there's only a handful of policemen including the Sheriff. As always, there's a serial killer on the loose and they only seem to be targeting young males and females who are virgins.
The drama is intensified a bit more by the fact that the Sheriff has a daughter who he's 100 percent sure is still a virgin and has yet to have sex with her new boyfriend. That's the boyfriend is always a suspect in the father's eyes, sounds about right.
1 SPHERE (1998)
Last but not least, a "whodunit" film with Samuel Jackson in it. This time around he's a scientist in a film adaptation for one of Michael Crichton's books. The film's about a deep-sea research crew stationed in an underwater base where they encounter a sunken alien spacecraft with a weird giant sphere that affects the brain in strange ways.
Suspicions mount up as they accuse one another of dreaming up the threats and nearly killing all the crew members. It's a unique take on Among Us' formula that horror fans will surely appreciate.
