The writers of DC's Legends of Tomorrow have revealed the title for the Season 6 finale, which references the popular online multiplayer game Among Us.
Legends of Tomorrow writer/executive producer Keto Shimizu tweeted out the cover page for the Season 6 finale's screenplay, in the process revealing its title: "The Fungus Amongus". Shimizu's post was then re-tweeted by the show's writers account, writing "A year ago it was hard to imagine that we’d be here - season 6 finale now in production! Written by [Keto Shimizu] and [James Eagan and] directed by [David Geddes]. Thanks to the hard work and vigilance of the whole Legends team for getting us here. Somehow our safest season is also our WILDEST!"

In Among Us, players take on the roles of Crewmates and Imposters. Those playing as Crewmates must try to identify and eliminate the Imposters while performing other tasks. Similarly, those playing Imposters are meant to quietly sabotage and kill the Crewmates before they're exposed. Following its release in 2018, Among Us has taken off in popularity amidst the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, becoming the most popular digital game ever with five hundred million monthly players. Innersloth announced plans to make Among Us 2 in Aug. 2020 only to cancel it a month later, in order to focus on improving the first game instead.
While plot details are under-wraps, the Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 finale will see Dominic Purcell depart as a series regular. The actor, who plays Mick Rory AKA Heatwave in The CW's Arrowverse, announced he was quitting the show on social media, criticizing the attitude of an unnamed studio. Purcell later claimed this was a publicity stunt and said he will continue to make guest appearances on Legends of Tomorrow down the line.
