Like most social deduction games, Among Us is built on distrust and observation. As Crewmates complete tasks, one Impostor (or more) goes around killing other players one-by-one. Discovering and reporting a dead body can be a great way to peg an Impostor early on, but now some players are skipping this mechanic altogether.

When Among Us first rose in popularity, reporting a body as the Impostor seemed like a clever ploy. That's not the case anymore, since it's a pretty well-known strategy by now. In fact, reporting the body might seem more sus than just leaving it alone, which is why players are choosing to ignore dead body reports in the game now. It's also getting to be an outdated strategy for Impostors, which is another reason why it may seem like bodies are getting reported less often.

The gameplay in Among Us is always changing, due to its being a social deduction game. As players get used to strategies and tricks, what used to be seen as clever can now feel overdone and even suspicious. No one wants to appear sus in Among Us, which is what reporting bodies can do.
