Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14 district) successfully streamed Among Us with gamers last night as a way to encourage Americans to make a voting plan for the United States' upcoming presidential election.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez's inaugural stream gained more than 439,000 peak viewers, making her the most-watched politician on the gaming platform to date, as reported by data company Stream Hatchet.

Last night, @AOC hopped on @Twitch for the first time to play Among Us with popular streamers like @pokimanelol, @TSM_Myth, @hasanthehun and more! Her inaugural stream produced a peak of 439K viewers - by far the highest ever peak of any politician on the platform! pic.twitter.com/uFH7qx2yIY

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez played with a variety of Twitch streamers, including the streamer Myth, who also reminded his two million followers to vote in the upcoming election as well.

Thank you so much for joining, Myth! I’m so excited this is your first time voting! I had a blast. Among Us released on June 15, 2018, on Android and iOS before debuting later in the year on Steam. Recently, the game's popularity exploded on Twitch due in part to its platform's streams. It was announced in Aug. by InnerSloth -- the game's publisher and developer -- that a sequel was in development. However, the creative team canceled this release in favor of fixing some current issues with Among Us.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2018's midterm election. She took office at the age of 29, becoming the youngest woman to serve in the United States Congress. She is currently running for reelection against Republican John Cummings and write-in candidate Antoine Tucker. She identifies as a Democratic-Socialist.

Developed and published by InnerSloth, Among Us is available on Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows.

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus Among Us' hats can say a lot about the player that wears them and may influence who dies first. Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...
