Among Us Developers Announce AntiTroll Updates

InnerSloth, the developer of the overwhelmingly popular multiplayer murder-in-space game Among Us, announced new updates and planned developments in a Steam post.

Among the updates are anti-hack measures -- though InnerSloth explained that the speed with which these server changes were developed has caused a few bugs. Later updates will aim to resolve these issues, and continue to tackle cheating methods. It has emphasized that any threats made in the game chat regarding devices and data are baseless.

The update has also added an anonymous voting option, as well a making hats and skins visible in the meeting screen. New task bar modes are also now available, and an initial pass on colorblind support is being tested.

In terms of future updates, Innersloth said it has "no real official roadmap", but have several plans in the works. These include a new "Henry Stickmin themed" map, even larger than Polus. This map will invole new tasks, and will be free for all players. Translations into more languages are being developed, and the colorblind support available in the latest update will be monitored and improved.

They also confirmed that accounts should be launched by December. Friends lists will not be immediately available, but players will be able to report accounts that are repeatedly toxic or engage in hacking.

Developed and published by InnerSloth, Among Us is available on Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows.
