Among Us Servers Down Developers Investigating

In an unfortunate turn, Among Us developer Innersloth has reported intermittent server outages and crashes, vowing to fix the problem quickly.

Innersloth, the developers of the popular social deduction game Among Us, announced on Twitter that they are aware of some server issues and instability, promising to resolve the issue quickly. For a game that is reliant on online connectivity and server stability as Among Us, an extended outage can be crippling to the game's success. Although Among Us's popularity is nowhere near the level it once was last year, the game still boasts a robust player base and has already teased exciting new features to come.

All of that was undone, however, by Innersloth's confirmation that the Among Us servers are experiencing some technical issues. It appears that these interruptions are only sporadic, but any sort of connection interruption would still be frustrating to players. As a result, Innersloth has assured Among Us players that it is looking into the issue and will update them when they have found a fix.

We're aware the Among Us servers have been acting up sporadically, with drops happening at random times. We're still trying to figure out why the crashes are happening and it's one of our highest priorities!! Thanks for the patience. 🙏

The popularity of Among Us undoubtedly peaked during 2020, when the pandemic forced everyone inside and many craved an outlet for social interaction. The game's collaborative, yet deceptive, structure lent itself to being a great interactive game. A year later, the fad appears to be dying down, but Innersloth is still going strong with support for Among Us. Innersloth has already made headlines by introducing new colored beans to the game, but they also made waves with their recent crossover between League of Legends and Among Us. Celebrating the release of Riot's new show Arcane, the collaboration let some of the famous characters enter Among Us, albeit in bean form.
