An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Among Us How to Play the Engineer Role (Tips Tricks & Strategies)

Among Us How to Play the Engineer Role (Tips Tricks & Strategies)

Among us has several new roles including the new crewmate Engineer. The Engineer has a special ability, but players will need to use it sparingly.

Among Us How to Play the Engineer Role (Tips Tricks & Strategies)

There are a variety of special roles in Among Us for crewmates and imposters including the Engineer role. Similar to the imposters in Among Us, players that use the Engineer role can utilize vents. This ability has a few advantages and disadvantages during a round, so players should become familiar with when to use the Engineer's skill and how to play this role.

There are four new roles in Among Us for players to try out, including a few different types of crewmates. Having these new roles makes it harder for imposters to successfully execute the opposing team. There is also a role that makes it so ghosts can still have an effect on living team members or rivals. The addition of these unique roles enhances the overall gameplay experience in Among Us.

Players using the Engineer have the ability to use vents, but only for a limited time. Engineers can also accidentally run into imposters while in the vents, so using them frequently can be dangerous. Players who constantly use the Engineer's special ability can also seem suspicious and make other crewmates believe they are an imposter. Additionally, imposters that notice an Engineer using vents may try to direct attention towards them. However, there are a few strategies players can use to properly play as the Engineer.

Playing the Engineer in Among Us

Among Us How to Play the Engineer Role (Tips Tricks & Strategies)

Engineers in Among Us should use the vents to either follow and catch an imposter or quickly traverse the map. Whenever possible, players should enter the vent when no other player is nearby so they aren't mistaken for an imposter. Otherwise, the Engineer may need to defend themselves in an emergency meeting. Suspicious crewmates are only one of the dangers that Engineers should try to avoid.

Along with accusatory crewmates, the Engineer needs to be cautious of imposters while inside the vents. Since imposters know who's on their team, it will be easy for them to identify and take out the Engineer. Instead, players should wait until they see an imposter go into a vent and follow them, then catch them when they emerge to kill a crewmate. This is still a risk, but at least the player will know where the imposter is rather than going into a vent and chancing an encounter.

Alternatively, the Engineer can use a vent to escape an imposter if they're being chased. However, the imposter can follow them into the vent, and the Engineer will only be able to stay inside the ventilation system for 30 seconds. The Engineer role can be tough to play because of the possibility of false accusations, but it is still useful. Players can quickly get around and complete their tasks or track down and catch an imposter. The Engineer is one of several new roles in Among Us.

Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...
