Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once

Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once An Instagram user is making "low-cost" Among Us cosplays using his own body parts to represent the crew members of the beloved multiplayer game. An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Among Us Tips and Tricks for New Players

Among Us Tips and Tricks for New Players

2018's Among Us has found a new audience as gamers try to find more games to play remotely. These tips may help you save your crewmates from imposters.

Among Us Tips and Tricks for New Players

It's a lot harder to meet up with friends these days and play games. Thankfully there's Among Us, a mobile and PC game that has fulfilled the void for us. Among Us released in 2018, but has recently gained traction due to players discovering how fun it is with friends. Players are secretly separated into groups of either "Crewmate" or "Imposter." The Crewmates must complete tasks on the ship or remove the Imposter(s) from the boat. The Imposter's goal is to kill everyone on board. Before long, crewmates will find mutilated corpses and the "who dun it" will begin.

Since the game is free on mobile devices, it probably won't be long before you're invited on-board to a dilapidated ship. The game sounds straightforward enough on paper, but there are some details newcomers might not understand right away.

Be Quiet

This might seem kind of obvious, but don't just start blathering away as soon as the game starts. The game is meant to be played silently, with the only talking being done during the meeting phase. It would basically ruin the game for all parties if a crewmate were to yell something along the lines of, "[blank] killed me!" over voice chat without any deliberation. The fun of the game lies within the deduction skills of the Crewmates and the craftiness of the Imposter. Remaining silent maintains a level of fairness between both parties.

Ghosts aren't Useless

It's only a matter of time before a player finds themselves pushing up daisies. Whether it's because of the Imposter or poor judgment from your peers, the player will turn into a ghost upon death. However, even dead, a Crewmate is still able to complete their assigned tasks. As an added bonus, ghosts generally move faster than the average Crewman, allowing them to move between tasks more quickly. The downsides to being a ghost (besides being dead) are that they aren't able to stop ship emergencies (like reactor melt-downs) and they can't chat.

Imposters can fix Sabotage

Among Us Tips and Tricks for New Players

If the game deems a player worthy enough for the mantle of "Imposter," they're going to have their hands full. To make their job easier, Imposters can "Sabotage" the ship, creating more problems for the Crewmates to solve and more opportunities for the Imposter to kill. However, Sabotage may also be used to ward off suspicion. For instance, if the Imposter causes a reactor melt-down, they can also be the ones to help resolve it. This selfless repair may give off the impression of innocence to the other Crewmates. Use this to your advantage.

Med-Scan is Foolproof

Among Us Tips and Tricks for New Players

One of the tasks a Crewmate may encounter is "Submit Scan" in the Medbay. For this task, a Crewmate must stand in the scanner for ~10 seconds. A green holographic scan will appear over the player and complete the task. What's helpful about this particular scan is that it guarantees the initiator is a Crewmate. Imposters cannot pretend to do this task as the green holographic scan will not appear over them.

Read your Tasks Carefully

Sometimes a Crewmate will receive a task and have no idea what they're supposed to do. Players may find themselves looking in a storage room with no obvious prompt in front of them. For these situations, it's essential to review the tasks carefully. The Task description usually gives a hint as to what the player is supposed to do. Additionally, some tasks are two-part, which means players need to do something in one room and finish in another. If players still aren't sure, they can consult Crewmates during discussion time.

They're Coming out of the Walls, Man!

If players witness another player coming out of a vent, that should immediately raise a red flag. Only Imposters are capable of using vents to navigate the map, so seeing a person pop out of one should be a huge give-away. Upon sighting this, a Crewmate should immediately run away (lest they be killed) and hit the emergency button to call a meeting.

Among Us is available for PC and mobile devices.

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus Among Us' hats can say a lot about the player that wears them and may influence who dies first. Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet A 2021 map for Among Us updates is still missing in action, despite a promise early this year - which may be because predictions are impossible. In a January blog post, Among Us creators InnerSloth promised a content roadmap for 2021. The idea was to "be more transparent" about what features were launching for the social deduction game, and in which order. As of mid-May, however, that roadmap for Among Us still doesn't exist, and given both the time of year and the likely explanation, it may not arrive at all. Among Us first launched in June 2018 as a mobile-only title for iOS and Android, only reaching PCs in November that year. It was largely sidelined until early 2020, when Twitch and YouTube streamers helped shoot it to massive popularity. This resulted in a Nintendo Switch port in December, and plans for both Xbox and PlayStation versions by the end of 2021. In terms of original content, the biggest release so far has been...
