Telltale Games Promises an Update on The Wolf Among Us Season 2 in 2022
Telltale Games promises players will receive a long-awaited update on the highly anticipated second season of The Wolf Among Us soon.

The Wolf Among Us fans can look forward to news about Season 2 in the near future.
Telltale Games posted an end-of-year update and confirmed there will be news for the much anticipated Wolf Among Us Season 2 early in 2022 after the second season entered pre-production in December 2019. Telltale also encouraged players to keep their eyes out for Game Informer #342 for more information about what the future holds. This follows Telltale teasing an update on The Wolf Among Us Season 2 during the announcement of The Expanse: A Telltale Series at the Game Awards 2021.
END OF 2021 UPDATE: It's been a busy year and things are only going to get more exciting from here. Thanks for being with us on this adventure so far - and we can't wait for what's next. Have a happy, healthy rest of the holiday season and see all you folks in 2022! pic.twitter.com/D7vzArpfBN
Telltale also provided a brief recap since the studio's relaunch in 2019, such as switching to the Unreal engine and the re-release of various games, including Batman: The Telltale Series.
The Wolf Among Us is based on the Fables comic book series from DC's Vertigo Comics imprint. The title was created in 2002 by writer Bill Willingham, with pencils by Mark Buckingham, Lan Medina and Steve Leialoha, inks by Buckingham, Leialoha, Andrew Peppy and P. Craig Russell and letters by Todd Klein. The actual comic series follows a cast of fairytale characters such as Snow White, Bluebeard and Boy Blue living in the "mundane" world, or modern New York City. The Wolf Among Us, meanwhile, is a neon-noir prequel to the comics that follows Bigby Wolf, the big bad wolf and Sheriff of Fabletown, as he attempts to solve a string of murders. Several new folktale characters were also introduced, including Bloody Mary and the Crooked Man. The game was highly acclaimed for its story and unique aesthetic, resulting in several awards nominations, including two BAFTA Game Awards nods.
Telltale announced The Wolf Among Us Season 2 in 2017 but experienced a majority closure the following year, forcing the company to lay off the bulk of its workforce. Telltale managed to complete the fourth season of The Walking Dead in this time, but the company's closure shelved any future projects. However, in 2019, LCG Entertainment acquired key assets of the studio, and Telltale was reborn.
There has been an increase in activity from Telltale in the wake of the Expanse announcement, and roughly two years on from the initial TWAU2 teaser, more news seems to be just around the corner.
