Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once

Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once An Instagram user is making "low-cost" Among Us cosplays using his own body parts to represent the crew members of the beloved multiplayer game. An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Will Among Us Stay Popular For Much Longer

Will Among Us Stay Popular For Much Longer

Among Us rose to popularity over the last couple years and quickly became a favorite among many streamers - but how long will its success last?

Will Among Us Stay Popular For Much Longer

Few recent games have seen such a sudden and massive boom in success as Among Us, a social deduction game that rose to fame during 2020. Among Us is now a gaming sensation, and 2021 has seen an addition of several updates that aim to keep the game feeling new despite shifts in playerbase and popularity. Some players, however, are wondering just how much longer Among Us can manage to stay relevant.

Among Us was initially released in 2018, and by 2020 developer InnerSloth was ready to move on from the game and start developing other projects. Even a potential sequel, Among Us 2, was announced before being scrapped in order to focus on updating and improving the original. This news came after the game saw a drastic rise in popularity during 2020, as multiple streamers with significant platforms began broadcasting it. The onset of the 2019 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns also encouraged many gamers to branch out and give the small indie game a chance, and from there Among Us' success was further heightened due to the cooperative online features the game is built around.

Several major updates have been provided to the game since then, including a new Among Us map in the form of the Airship and integrated Twitch and Discord features to make the game even easier to share with others. Another upcoming release plans to up the maximum amount of players from 10 to 15 in addition to adding new colors for players to choose from. An active modding community has also served to provide the game with even more longevity. The game has become so popular that some people are even getting sick of Among Us, which is a testament to its mainstream relevance. However, how much longer will its success realistically last?

Is Among Us Just A Fad Game?

Will Among Us Stay Popular For Much Longer

Not everyone is convinced that Among Us will maintain its status for much longer. Even the creator of Smash Bros., Masahiro Sakurai, wondered if Among Us' success would prove to be long-lasting or if it could be considered a fad game. Among Us' popularity is largely dependent on its community. The activity of modders and streamers can significantly impact the size of its playerbase. Among Us' success also may have had something to do with the real-world climate in 2020, with many people being stuck in lockdown and unable to connect with friends in any other manner due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world changes, it's possible that Among Us' player numbers could, too.

What could InnerSloth do to help Among Us maintain popularity? For one, Among Us 2 could be put into development again. Innersloth has already provided a large amount of updates to help make Among Us more smooth and stable. Compared to its initial launch, it can now more reliably handle large amounts of players without much issue. As the game is further optimized, it could be time to move on and provide a sequel in order to capitalize off of the success of the first one. However, the tactic of continually adding support and new features to Among Us seems likely to keep the game popular enough as it is for some time.

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...

Every Among Us Kill Animation Ranked By Level Of Violence

Every Among Us Kill Animation Ranked By Level Of Violence Among Us is pretty brutal for such a simple-looking game with cute, rounded characters. Here's each kill animation ranked from least to most violent. Despite the rather cute and simple look of Among Us, the online science fiction game has some pretty horrific kill animations that are often shown when an Impostor is left alone with an unsuspecting Crewmate. This list will go over each one, ranking them from least to most violent. Killing is a natural part of Among Us as the premise states a parasitic shapeshifter Impostor has taken the place of one of the Crewmates in an otherwise productive crew of MIRA scientists, explorers, and researchers. Crewmates try figure out who the Impostor is while trying to stay alive, but fans know that death is an inevitable part of the game. In fact, the absence of one makes it near impossible to find out who the real Impostors are. Currently, there are only four different kill animations, but...

Among Us Map Timeline Theory How The Impostor Attacks Started

Among Us Map Timeline Theory How The Impostor Attacks Started One interesting Among Us fan theory offers an explanation on the origins of the Impostors and provides a timeline for when and where they appear. The online social deduction multiplayer title Among Us is a relatively simple game, but it's recent success has already brought about some interesting and complex fan theories to give more backstory to the space-themed setting. One theory gives a plausible explanation for how the Impostors came to be, incorporating each of the maps for more evidence. There are currently three maps in Among Us: The Skeld, MIRA HQ, and the latest addition, Polus. The developers are in the process of adding a new map, so this theory will only pertain to the ones already available. The Skeld is the primary map that takes place on a cargo spaceship which travels to the other locations. MIRA HQ is a tall building set high in a planet's atmosphere and is the location the Crewmates travel back to a...
