Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once

Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once An Instagram user is making "low-cost" Among Us cosplays using his own body parts to represent the crew members of the beloved multiplayer game. An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Among Us Surpasses PUBG With Almost 400000 Concurrent Steam Players

As one of the most popular multiplayer games right now, Among Us amassed nearly 400,000 concurrent Steam players last week, surpassing the veteran PUBG franchise. Among Us initially released back in 2018, but the game has seen a massive surge in its player base in recent weeks, initiating a deluge of memes and Twitch streamers generating content for the multiplayer teamwork and betrayal game.

Among Us was generally languishing in obscurity for the past couple of years, going unnoticed by many and frustrating developers at InnerSloth with its concurrent player count mostly locked in the double-digits. The 3-person team at InnerSloth chalked up their low numbers to bad marketing, but continued to push through their lack of success by consistently generating and releasing updates to the game. In 2019, they released two additional maps, Mira HQ and Polus, and made regular tweaks to increase the game's playability. Now, after the summer of 2020 and the months-long pandemic forcing gamers to stay indoors even more than usual, Among Us has become a staple in COVID-era gaming and a must-play for streamers on Twitch and YouTube.

Among Us reached over 388,000 concurrent players on Steam, putting it squarely in 3rd on Steam rankings. For context, this placed Among Us right behind CS:GO and Dota 2 for a time - both of which have had considerably stocked player bases and competitive communities for years - and right in front of PUBG, a game that stood at #1 in concurrent players for a full year. This may not necessarily be huge news given how popular games tend to get a lot of people playing them, but for a game like Among Us, this is a yet another monumental milestone.

Among Us Surpasses PUBG With Almost 400000 Concurrent Steam Players

Among Us comes from a tiny team of only 3 developers, with just a single one of them working on the game for the majority of its development cycle. Compared to the development teams like those for PUBG, Among Us has, even for a brief moment, stepped on something of a gaming Goliath. PUBG, at its peak, had daily player counts in the millions. However, a lack of consistent updates and surging competition has focused PUBG's market on mobile and its core game (which is also on PS4 and Xbox One with crossplay) continues to decline in popularity. It should be stated that the nearly 400,000 currently playing Among Us are on Steam alone. These numbers don't take into account the untold player counts who have been playing Among Us on iOS or Android, platforms on which the game is totally free and where players can play with their PC counterparts. PUBG Mobile on the other hand, is a wholly different game than core PUBG on PC.

It seems as though perseverance for an indie-game developer like InnerSloth has ultimately paid off. Among Us has been likened to Fall Guys, another massive summer hit, as a genuinely fun and refreshing game that gives many of us stuck at home something to experience with friends and laugh about. It remains to be seen how much more Among Us will grow in popularity, but at this rate, it seems as though it's just getting started.

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus Among Us' hats can say a lot about the player that wears them and may influence who dies first. Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet A 2021 map for Among Us updates is still missing in action, despite a promise early this year - which may be because predictions are impossible. In a January blog post, Among Us creators InnerSloth promised a content roadmap for 2021. The idea was to "be more transparent" about what features were launching for the social deduction game, and in which order. As of mid-May, however, that roadmap for Among Us still doesn't exist, and given both the time of year and the likely explanation, it may not arrive at all. Among Us first launched in June 2018 as a mobile-only title for iOS and Android, only reaching PCs in November that year. It was largely sidelined until early 2020, when Twitch and YouTube streamers helped shoot it to massive popularity. This resulted in a Nintendo Switch port in December, and plans for both Xbox and PlayStation versions by the end of 2021. In terms of original content, the biggest release so far has been...
