Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once

Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once An Instagram user is making "low-cost" Among Us cosplays using his own body parts to represent the crew members of the beloved multiplayer game. An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Rust Is Twitchs New Among Us After Streamers Resurrect Its Popularity

Rust Is Twitchs New Among Us After Streamers Resurrect Its Popularity

Rust has reached new levels of popularity on Twitch thanks to a sudden surge of prominent streamers who've taken a new interest in the survival game.

Rust Is Twitchs New Among Us After Streamers Resurrect Its Popularity

Survival game Rust is making a surprise comeback as the number one game on Twitch after a long period of inactivity. The PC game has had a long development history; it released in early access back in 2013 and spent five years in that unfinished state before finally seeing a full release in 2018. Now that it's finally been completed, many are wondering what's next for the game. It had been planned for a console release last year, but after that was delayed, fans of the game are wondering when it might arrive on PS4 and PS5.

For years Rust has been held up as a standard example of the survival crafting genre. The PC market is rife with these games, and they encompass a variety of genres and tones. Conan Exiles focuses on the brutal fantasy world of the iconic barbarian, for example, while The Forest is a much more horror-oriented experience. Subnautica provides a very unique take on the experience by stranding the player on a flooded alien world; it's frequently hailed as one of the best games on Steam today. Rust, by contrast, is a comparatively standard survival crafting experience, which takes its claim to fame from the scope of tools and items the player can craft, as well as the multiplayer component, which lets fans scavenge and survive together.

Rust has been quietly scraping by for years now, but recently, it has seen a startling resurgence on Twitch. In recent days the obscure survival game topped the charts for most views on the streaming platform, beating out titans like Minecraft. At the time of this writing it's still sitting at a respectable second place, with 612k viewers to its name. The game owes this sudden resurgence to several big-name streamers who have suddenly expressed renewed interest in it thanks to content drops that are planned for January 7th. These major streamers have spent the past few days surviving online together and creating emergent stories through in-game interactions and RP.

Thanks to all the streamers who joined in some /awesome/ days for Rust on @Twitch and to everyone who cheered them on! Special thanks to @OfflineTV@h7une @BaboAbe @shroud and our own @Alistair_McF@IAmHolmzy for making it happen. Watch out for January 7th... pic.twitter.com/43bYkAsFdD

rust devs are about to do drops on jan 7th. and a new rp focused server is inc. it’s wild how streamers wanting to play a game w each other can do so much for a game. it’s a great thing btw, i’m just still mad at that stadia dude taking about how publishers should dmca streamers

The sudden success of Rust is strongly reminiscent of another prominent multiplayer game: Among Us. The space-based social deduction game saw a quiet, widely overlooked release in 2018, but exploded in popularity in 2020 thanks to prominent streamers playing online with their friends. Even though the game is two years old now, it's sure to go down in history as one of 2020's most defining titles and one of its best multiplayer games. It should be noted, however, that at the time of this writing Rust has a massive lead over Among Us in terms of viewer counts on Twitch.

It remains to be seen how long this remarkable Rust resurgence will last. The promised January 7th drops will surely be a boon for the survival game's longevity and player base. Of course, no online game stays famous forever. The colorful battle royale Fall Guys proved that when it was unseated by Among Us last year. It's good to see a lesser-known game like Rust finally get its time in the spotlight. Here's hoping it can stay there.

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus Among Us' hats can say a lot about the player that wears them and may influence who dies first. Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet A 2021 map for Among Us updates is still missing in action, despite a promise early this year - which may be because predictions are impossible. In a January blog post, Among Us creators InnerSloth promised a content roadmap for 2021. The idea was to "be more transparent" about what features were launching for the social deduction game, and in which order. As of mid-May, however, that roadmap for Among Us still doesn't exist, and given both the time of year and the likely explanation, it may not arrive at all. Among Us first launched in June 2018 as a mobile-only title for iOS and Android, only reaching PCs in November that year. It was largely sidelined until early 2020, when Twitch and YouTube streamers helped shoot it to massive popularity. This resulted in a Nintendo Switch port in December, and plans for both Xbox and PlayStation versions by the end of 2021. In terms of original content, the biggest release so far has been...
