Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once

Weird Among Us Cosplay Lets You Be All 10 Players At Once An Instagram user is making "low-cost" Among Us cosplays using his own body parts to represent the crew members of the beloved multiplayer game. An Instagram user has found a bizarre way to cosplay multiple Among Us characters at the same time. The social deduction game has taken the internet by storm despite being largely ignored when it released in 2018. The game has reached such incredible amounts of popularity that the developer cancelled a sequel to focus up on developing the current game. Among Us, like the similarly explosive Fall Guys before it, owes much of its success to its adorable, minimally designed characters. The astronauts in Among Us are small, beanlike creatures, decked out like Skittles in bright primary colors. Like in Fall Guys, players can purchase cosmetic accessories for their astronaut, including hats, and even little pets that can follow them around. While players are mostly interested in Amo...

Town of Salem The Game That Inspired Among Us Modders

Town of Salem The Game That Inspired Among Us Modders

Modders are adding in new roles to Among Us, like Doctor and Sheriff, which all appear to be inspired by another social deduction game: Town of Salem.

Town of Salem The Game That Inspired Among Us Modders

Town of Salem is a social deduction game by BlankMediaGames from 2014. As pilgrims, players are assigned roles in which they are either trying to kill other townsfolk or working to discover which players are murderers. These roles may seem familiar to fans of Among Us, since modders are now adding in a lot of Town of Salem roles into the game.

Like many games in the social deduction subgenre, Town of Salem mimics the impostor mechanics of popular party games like Mafia and Werewolf. Roles can be neutral, good, or evil. In the years since its release, more modes have been added to Town of Salem alongside additional roles. Werewolves, witches, mafia hitmen, and serial killers visit players at night, while daytime is reserved for accusations, deduction, and deception. The browser game was incredibly popular, especially a few years ago, so it's no surprise that modders are working to make Among Us feel more like Town of Salem now.

There are multiple mods for Among Us that add interesting player roles already. Doctor, Sheriff, Jester, and Vigilante are all popular roles that can make Among Us even more fun. These modded roles can make gameplay more exciting and their popularity is just one of the reasons developer InnerSloth should add official roles when Among Us 2 releases. However, almost all of these mods are based off of roles from Town of Salem.

How Town Of Salem Roles Inspired Among Us Mods

Town of Salem The Game That Inspired Among Us Modders

It's not just the names of the roles that come directly from Town of Salem either. Modded roles in Among Us, like Doctor or Vigilante, work either exactly the same or similarly to how they function in Town of Salem. A Doctor in Town of Salem, for instance, can prevent another townsfolk from dying, while a Doctor in Among Us can revive fallen allies. The Vigilante role in Town of Salem allows a player to shoot killers, but if they mistakenly shoot an innocent pilgrim, they die too. This is exactly how Vigilante (and Sheriff) works in Among Us, too.

It's not just helpful roles from Town of Salem that have found their way into Among Us. Jesters in Town of Salem have to get the townsfolk to lynch them in order to win, much in the same way the Jester mod in Among Us requires the Jester to get ejected from the game to win the round. This role adds a bit of chaos in either game, but it's still a lot of fun.

Town of Salem still has a loyal following, so it shouldn't be too surprising that modders are putting some of the game's popular roles into Among Us. However, for anyone getting a little tired of Among Us right now, Town of Salem is definitely a great alternative.

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus

Among Us Hat Graph All 94 Hats Ranked From Cute To Sus Among Us' hats can say a lot about the player that wears them and may influence who dies first. Here's every hat in the game ranked from cute to sus. One of the best ways to appear innocent in Among Us is by dressing for the occasion. While judging someone by their appearance is superficial, it could also be a player's saving grace. This graph will examine every hat in Among Us and rank them according to how cute, boring, silly, and sus they are. In a social deduction game like Among Us, players usually don't have a lot to go off outside of appearances. This becomes even more true for players who primarily play in public lobbies where voice chat isn't an option. A player could be given the benefit of the doubt immediately depending on how they choose to dress. While dressing cute could help an innocent crewmate stay out of the spotlight, it can also allow the Impostor to prey on the unassuming minds of their vic...

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are

Among Us Theory What Impostors Really Are Among Us' dastardly Impostors terrorize crewmates with various forms of killing and sabotage, and fans have theories about their origins and motives. The Impostors that give Among Us its name and central gameplay hook are, by design, a mysterious bunch. On the surface, they're nearly identical to Among Us' colorful crewmates, but Impostors exhibit certain strange and terrifying properties. Due to the game's lack of overt story, it's unclear what exactly Among Us' Impostors are, but fans have a few compelling theories. Unlike normal crewmates, Impostors have the ability to slink through vents, which - unless crewmates are small enough to do this, too, but simply have no need to - suggests they have some kind of shapeshifting ability. This would also explain Impostors' ability to open up a large mouth at the waist of their spacesuits and stab victims with sharp tongues. It's possible Among Us' crewmates also ha...

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet

Why Among Us 2021 Roadmap Hasnt Released Yet A 2021 map for Among Us updates is still missing in action, despite a promise early this year - which may be because predictions are impossible. In a January blog post, Among Us creators InnerSloth promised a content roadmap for 2021. The idea was to "be more transparent" about what features were launching for the social deduction game, and in which order. As of mid-May, however, that roadmap for Among Us still doesn't exist, and given both the time of year and the likely explanation, it may not arrive at all. Among Us first launched in June 2018 as a mobile-only title for iOS and Android, only reaching PCs in November that year. It was largely sidelined until early 2020, when Twitch and YouTube streamers helped shoot it to massive popularity. This resulted in a Nintendo Switch port in December, and plans for both Xbox and PlayStation versions by the end of 2021. In terms of original content, the biggest release so far has been...
