What Among Us Five Nights At Freddys Mod Is (& Is It Scary)
A new Five Nights At Freddy's mod can turn Impostors into the horror game icon, but just how much scarier does the FNAF mod make Among Us?

Despite new updates to Among Us, which have brought in new features like the Airship map, the social deduction game from InnerSloth continues getting modded by fans to shake up gameplay mechanics. One of the newest mods adds mechanics and characters from Five Nights At Freddy's to give fans an experience they probably won't soon forget. So how does the FNAF mod work - and is it actually scary?
While most mods are available to the public, this version of the Five Nights At Freddy's mod in Among Us is currently only available to YouTuber SSundee and his friends. However, some lucky players may be enter a game in which this mod is in play, so there's a chance others will be able to access it. And, as with any Among Us mod, other versions may exist and be available to the public at a later time.
As with many of the mods for Among Us that help Impostors, this Five Nights At Freddy's mod overpowers Impostors by allowing them to turn into the iconic animatronics from the survival horror franchise. This can occur by climbing into one of the animatronic suits scattered around the map. Once inside, Impostors have access to six unique abilities that allows them to frighten and kill unsuspecting crewmates.
Among Us: Five Nights At Freddy's Mod Abilities Explained

With the FNAF mod in Among Us, Impostors can choose to leave the suit and become themselves again by using the "Impostor" ability, while the "Transform" ability allows them to turn into any of the Five Nights At Freddy's animatronics nearby. As Freddy Fazbear, Impostors can use "Teleport" to quickly go to another area on the map and immediately appear. The "Devour" ability allows them to eat a crewmate and then turn them into a pile of robotic poop, making reporting bodies more difficult. "Freddy Army" sends a group of animatronics at crewmates based on color, and "Jumpscare" freezes players in place.
While this Among Us mod definitely works in the Impostors' favor, fans of the survival horror games should love it. It's a more intense - and bloodier - way to play Among Us. The Jumpscare and Teleport abilities also make for scarier moments, making it great for fans awaiting FNAF: Security Breach's release. However, the mechanical poop from Devour shows that this mod still retains some of Among Us' original quirkiness, so the mod remains true to the game's general tone as well.
